Omega Properties, Inc. was founded in January 1979 by Bill Barnhill as a general commercial real estate brokerage and development company. Omega Properties, Inc. began by developing self-storage properties, residential subdivisions, land deals, and small commercial and waterfront developments.

Beginning in 1993, Omega Properties, Inc. focused on brokerage, acquisition, development, and management of self-storage properties. We currently manage 6 storage facilities with over 3,300 units. Bill Barnhill, CCIM, PHD., has been involved in the commercial Real Estate Business over 46 years, having specialized for the last 27 years in self storage. Bill holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Designation and has simultaneously served on the board of directors of both aviation and marine related businesses. He is also a past president of the Alabama Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute, He is currently President of Omega Properties, Inc., a commercial real estate management and brokerage firm located in Mobile, Alabama. He has been actively engaged with the Alabama Self Storage Association having served as an Officer and serves now on the Board of Directors at Cyber Reef Solutions, LLCC, (an inter of things company) located in Shreveport LA.

Experience: As President and owner of Omega Properties, Inc. He has extensive experience in the development and management of self storage facilities with over 3,900 units and over 550,000 square feet. He has brokered over $200 million in self storage transactions.

Sharon Wright, CCIM, has worked in real estate since 1992 and specializes in self storage and commercial sales for Argus / Omega Properties. Sharon is a recognized leader in the real estate industry, having served as president for the Baldwin Realtors and awarded Realtor of the Year for the association. Sharon has also served as a State Director for the Alabama Association of Realtors.

A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in accounting, Sharon is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Alabama Association of Realtors, Mobile Area Association of Realtors, Baldwin County Association of Realtors, and the Mobile and Baldwin Commercial Exchange Clubs. She holds the designations of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) and is a Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI). She is a past President of the Alabama CCIM Chapter Gulf Coast District and currently serves on a national committee for the CCIM Institute.

Sharon makes a point to balance her business life with civic involvement. She is a past Chairperson of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama, past board member of the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce, Bounds Family YMCA and the Better Business Bureau. She enjoys running, golfing and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Shannon Barnhill Barnes, Realtor and Broker based in Mobile, Alabama with Omega Properties, Inc. Mrs. Barnes is an 11-year commercial real estate industry veteran, specializing in the brokerage of self-storage units in Alabama, Florida Panhandle. Louisiana and Mississippi. Shannon has built a solid foundation of investors and clients through her sales, management and advisory services. She graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of Alabama.

Mrs. Barnes has a long record of successfully guiding local and national clients with their self-storage real estate acquisitions, sales and management of their assets. Shannon has closed over $20 million in transactions during her time with Omega Properties, Inc. Her specific areas of expertise include self storage sales, broker opinion of value and commercial properties.

Shannon specializes in applying her expertise and market knowledge across four states to consistently exceed the investment and management goals of her clients. In addition to being a member of the CCIM Institute, Shannon is an active member of the Junior League of Mobile. National Association of Realtors, Alabama Association of Realtors, Mobile Association of Realtors and the Mobile Commercial Real Estate Exchange Club. She is married to her husband, Jason, and has two children, Grayden and Savannah.

Stuart P. LaGroue, Sr., has been involved in commercial real estate and specializing in self storage brokerage since 2004. He is licensed in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana. Stuart served on the Board of the Alabama Self Storage Association (ALSSA)From 2007 – 2012. In 2009, he served as President of ALSSA and for the two years prior to that he served as Treasurer. Stuart is a board member for the Spanish Fort Fire & Rescue Department. He is married to Shelly LaGroue, owner of Shelly B. LaGroue CPA, LLC, a local CPA firm, and the proud father of two sons.

Stuart earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Auburn University.
